Lethal fiends
Plotting schemes
Eating brains
Bleeding veins
Dragging chains
Creatures creeping
From every crevace seeping
Children weeping
Lucidity
Take over me
Set me free
I grab a gun
Take charge and run
The light is shun
The moon illuminates
Crystal coating shapes
Clarity disintegrates
The seal is broken
Fear is awoken
Portals seem to open
Eerie whispers are inviting
This sweet deceitful reciting
Beckoning to join in hiding
Hands reach out from darkness
Creeping fingers on my dress
The chanting doesn't seem to digress
Shaky fingers on the trigger
Voices taunting sinner
Causing me to linger
Distractions pulse around me
Something shifts behind a tree
Stealthiness seems to be key
I step back and prepare to shoot
A hand reaches out for my leg and grabs my boot
Suddenly it takes a different route
A quick headshot
My fate is sought
Soon like them I will rot
The bite mark burns
My stomach churns
The effect concerns
Slowly I'm turning
Skin rotting and burning
For salvation I'm yearning
I was infected
My protection I neglected
My plans had to be corrected
Limping away
In search of a safe place to lay
Now the consequences I must pay
I'm weak to this force
I'm being dragged like a lifeless corpse
Let me drown in remorse
Following the masses I moan
I'm surrounded by them yet I feel alone
And now brainwashed I roam
