THE DARK DIARIES (DIARIES OF DARKNESS)
The Dark Diaries (Diaries of Darkness) is a collection of diaries from none other than the Devil's daughter herself; the princess of darkness, if you will. Life in Hell is not how it's made out to be.

The Night of the Living Dolls
The dolls now occupied a large area of the attic, their glassy eyed stares seemed to pierce right through your soul. It sent a trail of goosebumps down Diana's back as she stared at what she now called "The Wall of Dolls." They were all aligned on shelves against this wall, cobwebs hung from the ceiling above. "I'm sure Cathy won't mind.... I mean, she must've considered moving the dolls before going through with all those home renovations." She walked down past them, their eyes seemed to follow her. "After all, there's so many of them and they'd be in the way...." Suddenly her fiance, Matthew, came into the room, startling Diana. "Damn it, Matt." She rolled her eyes as he wrapped his arms around her waist, "You scared the hell out of me.."
He chuckled, "Oh, did I?" He began kissing her neck, "I can make you feel something that will thrill you even more.." He smiled.
"Not now, Matt." She pushed him away, "I'm in the middle of organizing all these dolls.. If anything happens to them, Cathy will kill me. You know how anal she can be about her dolls.."
"Why does she need all those dolls anyway?" Matthew smirked as Diana went up to a doll and fixed its' dress.
"It's just a hobby she never grew out of, I guess.." She started walking towards the door that led back down to the now doll-less hallway. "Come on, we have appointments to go make." Matthew flicked off the light switch before following after Diana, but right after he did one of the dolls eyes radiated. "Huh.." He stopped and rubbed his eyes, "Eh, must be my eyes.. I didn't get much sleep last night.." He thought to himself and walked out of the attic, shutting the door tight behind him. He walked down the old wooden staircase, where Diana was waiting for him.
Catherine's away for the week, and her best friend Diana is house sitting. Diana becomes uncomfortable around the dolls and moves them to the attic while Cathy is away. "These dolls are creeping me out.." She tells her fiance when he comes over. But the dolls don't approve of any of this and they still want to play. It all starts out with the attic door creaking open one night and Diana dismisses the strange sounds as her imagination while her and her fiance cuddle in bed watching a movie. The next morning, they find the words "Come play with us" scribbled on the wall in red crayon. It looks like a child's handwriting. Diana assumes it's Matthew playing a prank on her and blames it on him, despite the fact he denies it.
Later on they find old pictures in a photo album of Catherine's grandmother standing in front of the house that now belongs to Catherine, and she's holding one of the dolls smiling. "Look," Diana points out, "That's Cathy's favorite doll, Little Johnny." The picture was old and falling apart, "Wow, this must've been taken back in the 40's.." She then noticed the old orphanage that stood behind the house on a hill that overlooked the mansion. "Wait, wasn't that the old orphanage that burned down in the 1960's?"
The dolls were being used to house the spirits of these dead children. What better object for a child to haunt then a toy? No wonder Catherine referred to them as "the children" and treated them as such.

The Cute Little Ghost
There was a little ghost, his name was Elliot and he was very cute. But that often proved to be a problem for him, especially when he tried scaring people. No one thought he was scary, he was way too adorable. His friends would make fun of him and Elliot would become upset. "I'll never be scary enough to fit in with the other ghosts.." He sighed.

Writing
I love writing because I can create stories and escape into worlds that are oftentimes more enjoyable than my own....
Masquerade of the Dead (Revised)
The smell of recent rainfall pervades the air as I make my way up to the old abandoned looking mansion. I can smell the wet earth below me and suddenly, from the corner of my eye, I notice a graveyard on the side of the house that instantly sends chills trickling down my spine like a trail of ants. "Oh yeah, horror movie classic," I think to myself as I scoff, the damp cold air turning my breath into little white puffs adding to the fog floating over the graves. "It's like I'm in a Night of the Living Dead remake.." I attempt to lighten my thoughts with humor. I don't even know exactly why I'm here, all I know is it's Halloween and I'm with a group of people venturing up the steps to the front door of this huge mansion. And I don't have a very good feeling about it. The group of teenagers leading the way ring the doorbell and we all wait as an eerie gush of wind blows past us, filled with whispers of the dead. I want to turn around and run, but something keeps me there, almost against my own will. Maybe my curiosity. And candy. The door creaks open and reveals a short man that looks like someone hired Beetlejuice as a butler. Except his hair is all mossy green and his smile is much wider and creepier.
"Come in," he beckons, still smiling.
"Okay, this is enough with the horror movie references," I think to myself as I follow the group of people inside. "Wait," I try to stop myself, "What the hell am I doing?" My intuition is nagging at me to run, yet I almost feel hypnotized to stay and see what will happen.. "But do I really want to find out?" I hesitate and start to turn around, yet it's too late; the creepy butler has already noticed my uneasiness and walks over to me.
"Why hello there, Miss." He says in an exuberant voice. "You're in for a real treat," he starts to chuckle and I nervously swallow. I feel trapped, like if I tried escaping, the door wouldn't budge. Everyone else seems to be having a grand time, talking and laughing and following this man down a long hallway leading to who knows where.
"Oh, I'm so excited, aren't you?" A man dressed like Zorro looks over at me.
"Excited for what?" I ask with a look of genuine bewilderment on my face.
"You'll see..." He grins and takes off towards the front of the line.
The suspense is driving me crazy, I tap a girl next to me on the shoulder. "Um, excuse me, but do you know what we're here for?"
She turns to look at me, "You mean, you don't know?"
I shake my head and she gets this weirded out expression on her face, "It's for the Dance of the Dead, of course." She tells me as if I'm supposed to know that and then quickly turns back to her friends as they continue to gossip and laugh. Something about her voice sends chills down my spine, but I don't pay it much mind..
"The Dance of the Dead...." I ponder as we enter a huge ballroom decorated like a dance floor.
The little man goes up to the front of the stage and grabs a microphone, "Glad you could all make it tonight," he chuckles, "It's only once a year that the dead rise from their graves to dance with us." Suddenly he makes eye contact with me, my eyes full of fear, and he winks. "Now, it's time to summon them and begin the party!"
The lights dim down and everyone gets excited, while I just stand there feeling out of place. This is just all so strange and I've never been here before. "I knew I shouldn't of strayed far from my typical trick or treating route," my regret is beginning to set in, joining in with my fear.
"Now, let's chant together!" He raises his hands as if beckoning the dead to rise from their graves, "Sepulka Lenova Talasia! Mortis Geminius Rastolken!"
I begin to panic as everyone starts to chant along with him. Shortly after, moaning is heard from outside. I feel trapped and alone because no one seems to understand my confusion and I'm partly immobile, due to fear. I turn back around and look at the door, it's so inviting, I feel it pulling me towards it.... I start to slowly make my way back out to the hallway, eyes glaring at me from all angles. I continue walking anyway, as the strange man chuckles again and this time it echoes through his microphone making it sound more intimidating. I start walking faster without looking back, but just as I'm nearing the big majestic doors, they slam open and zombies begin to pour into the hallway while moaning and limping towards me. I quickly turn around and start running back into the room where all the people are and just as I do, they start ripping their face masks off and revealing rotting faces underneath. "All zombies unite, from graveyards everywhere!" The man starts to dance on stage, clicking his shiny heels. A zombie reaches out his hand for a dance and I step away from it just to bump into another zombie who puts a hand on my shoulder. I shake him off and start running towards a corner of the room, as he continues to reach his hand out; a smile forms on his rotting face, exposing decayed teeth and worms slithering through holes in his cheek, pouring out from his jaw. He slurps one of the worms back in and winks, as he runs a hand back through what's left of his dirt covered ratty hair. I am completely mortified at this point, as I panic to find an escape. This is just so surreal, I am completely freaking out, surrounded by hoards of terrifying zombies and they are blocking every possible exit. I am being encompassed by them and my fear is eating me alive, I can't handle it. And soon, they'll literally be eating me alive.
"Fresh flesh..." I hear a zombie mutter, "Fresh flesh..." They all start to repeat.
"Oh fuck," I quickly scan the room, "Now that they've caught on I'm not dead like them, they're going to eat me if I don't get the hell out of here...." Suddenly an open window catches my eye, just as a group of zombies that are standing in front of it began to disperse around the room dancing and twirling each other around. I was shaking off every slimy cold hand that touched me, and trying hard not to look at any of them because I was already horrified enough. Then the creepy butler jumps out in front of me as I am making my way through the gaps in between the dancing corpses.
"Enjoying yourself?" He asks as I shake my head and try to push past him, "Why are you in such a hurry? The party has just begun."
I ignore him as I continue sliding past everyone in my way; he is following closely behind me and I am picking up my pace with every step he takes towards me. "I have to jump out that window, it's my only option..." I think to myself as I'm nearing it.
"Oh come on," the man insists, "At least give me one dance."
Just as the dance floor clears in front of me, I see my chance to dart across the remaining space between me and the window. I take the chance and run up to the window, diving through it and rolling myself up like a ball before landing on the ground below. While trying to get back up, I feel something hard next to me so I instinctively run my hand across it, feeling engraved letters in it. My heart starts beating fast and then it sets in "Oh shit... I'm in the graveyard..." The ground rumbles below me and I quickly roll off of it, right before a bone protrudes out from the dirt. But something is attached to it, grimy looking fingers holding it as if using it like a shovel. Then the ground erupts, and a rotting corpse reveals itself while spitting out clumps of dirt with grass. It stops to hear the music blasting from inside, "Damn it, I'm late again!" I'm having trouble identifying it's gender as I watch it climb up out of the grave. I try to stay as still as possible, while shivering from the cold and my fear. The genderless corpse makes its way past the graveyard towards the front yard, limping the whole way. And then I notice the light shining through the hole in the ground, "No, not this again. I'm not letting my curiosity get the best of me.." I try and crawl away, but then I hear the sounds of a distant orchestra playing so elegantly, also coming from below the ground. I decide to take a quick peek and then suddenly the ground collapses under me, causing me to fall down a long winding spiral. "What the hell is going on?" I try and grab ahold of something, anything, yet there's nothing but walls of dirt surrounding me. The orchestra is getting louder now and more violent sounding. The flow of the music rapidly increases and so does my heart rate. I don't know where I'm headed, but I don't have a very good feeling about it.

The Cure For Death: Reversing Damage
Imagine breaking a vase into tiny little shards of glass, some so small that they grind into dust when you try and put them back together. Or imagine crumpling a piece of paper so that a million wrinkles form and even flattening it out with a book won't make them cease to exist, the creases are so embedded and even paper has begun to miss from the parts where it seems the paper was crumpled and rubbed together causing bits of it to come off. Sometimes we need new parts to exchange the old ones, hence organ transplants and what not. But replacing every little bit of the damaged object/body would be a process that's proved to be far more complicated than we can achieve. Down to every little part, every cell and it's specific functions. How would you train new cells to carry out the same functions. Maybe we'd have better luck using synthetic measures, implanting nanobots into a person's body that have been pre-trained to carry out specific actions.

I was shaking off every slimy cold hand that touched me, and I was trying hard not to look at any of them because I was already horrified enough. The creepy butler jumps out in front of me as I am making my way through the gaps in between the dancing corpses.
Just as the dancefloor clears in front of me, I see my chance to dart across the remaining space between me and the window. I run and dive through the window, rolling myself up like a ball and landing on the ground below. I feel something hard next to me and I run my hand across it, feeling engraved letters in it. My heart starts beating fast and then it sets in "Oh no... I'm in the graveyard..."

On Writing For My Characters
Writing from the perspective of some of my characters, like Violet Grimm (from TCoD), can be quite challenging. Especially because they have these specific personalities that I need to be attentive to. Violet is a shy, mysterious girl that loves voodoo and witchery. She even studies spellmaking. I need to keep in mind when I'm writing for her, her certain reactions to things and the way she acts.

Poems of the Dead
It's haunting me in my head
I can't get to bed
Memories of past mistakes
Liers, fakes, and snakes
The darkness is suspicious
Turn the light back on
Sing me a sweet song
So full of lies
Comfort me
Deceitfully
You smile
And I'm filled with ecstasy
Do me a favor
And remember me
After you've set me free
Take my chains off
And your mask
Facing the truth
Is not an easy task
I can't get to bed
Memories of past mistakes
Liers, fakes, and snakes
The darkness is suspicious
Turn the light back on
Sing me a sweet song
So full of lies
Comfort me
Deceitfully
You smile
And I'm filled with ecstasy
Do me a favor
And remember me
After you've set me free
Take my chains off
And your mask
Facing the truth
Is not an easy task

When She Loved Me
"What are you..." I look down to see what he's doing.
He wraps a strand of my long blonde hair on his finger, holds it up, and smiles. "Can I have this?"
"What? No.. I mean... Why?" I look at him confused.
"So I can always have a part of you with me...."

I Dream of Zombies
Last night, in my dreamland, I was thrust into a zombie apocalypse.
Forced to flee from our house, after zombies broke in and killed our parents, me and my two little sisters ran to the only house on the street that seemed safe. It was this huge mansion that was 4 floors tall and belonged to an old lady named Helen and her beloved dog Coco. Coco was a little brown pinscher and we could hear him barking as we made our way up to the front door. Helen went up to her window and jumped in surprise when she saw us standing right outside. She picked up Coco and ran to open the door, "Thank goodness you're all okay, come in quickly." We walked in, my little sisters leading the way. They were both terribly afraid, holding on to their stuffed animals and blankets. Hoards of zombies were slowly making their way towards us as they moaned. Coco squirmed to be set free and nearly ran out the door right before Helen closed and locked it shut. "Coco, it's not safe out there." She scooped him up again. "I've been panicking all day," she led us down the hall towards the living room, "I had nightmares of this happening, but I never thought it would turn into reality.."
"Yeah, I know what you mean," I responded.
"So where are your parents, are they on their way?" Helen beckoned for us to sit down and join her on the white leather couch. She then saw the sadness in our eyes as my sisters grabbed on tighter to the only belongings they were able to salvage. "Oh dear, don't tell me.."
"They're dead..." I spoke up softly. My sisters started sobbing and I hugged them close to me.
"Oh no, you poor little things." She got up and tried to comfort them, "I'm so sorry..."
"But Daisy, you said they might come back... You said daddy might come and look for us...." My sister Jasmine was now hiding behind her blanket and crying.
"Yeah, but unfortunately, they won't be the same....." I wiped away the forming tears under my eyes.
"What do you mean?" Jasmine said between hiccups and sobbing.
"Well... They won't be themselves.... They'll be like the rest of the zombies out there...."
"Okay, that should be enough for them right now.." Helen placed her hand on Jasmine's shoulder and looked down at Rose. "They're a tad too young to understand the situation... Come here, little ones, would you like some juice or cookies?" My little sister Rose shook her head and Jasmine continued to hide under her blanket. "I can bring them to you."
"I'm not sure they have much of an appetite after this, but thank you..." I forced a smile as I held on to Rose's trembling hand.
"Oh dear, I just can't believe the government actually went through with this... So the rumors were true, all the signs were there, we should've known what was coming.. We should've been prepared...." She couldn't seem to sit still as she paced around her living room. Coco was sitting next to the windowsill now, growling. "But no one payed much attention, no one cared... No one believed when they were warned of how evil the government truly is.... This whole world built around a power hungry society; the media, the masses, the government, all the higher authorities... And they were the only ones prepared for this; all their families are safe.... Selfish brutes... It sickens me..." She looked over at us and noticed the concern in our eyes, "Sorry for that rant, I'm just very upset with this all...."
"I understand," I knew exactly what she meant and I had been trying to warn people of the same thing. "I've been researching and uncovering the government's, this world's, secrets for quite some time now... I just didn't expect this to happen now...."
"This was planned, Daisy?" Rose looked up with a tear streamed face and it nearly killed me inside.
"You just can't trust anyone," I told her, "But don't worry about that right now, just try to not think about any of this..."
"If I fall asleep will everything be back to normal when I wake up?" Jasmine asked while muffled by her blanket.
"Oh God, I wish..." I grabbed them both close and hugged them as we all sobbed.
-TO BE CONTINUED-
*We find guns and ammo in Helen's attic, with no experience with handguns, we attempt to shoot out at the zombie's from a window up on the third floor. "Shoot them in the head," I instruct my sisters.
*Coco escapes through the backyard and crawls under the fence. We see him on the side yard barking at hoards of zombies as they surround him. Helen practically has a heart attack and becomes hysterical, trying to jump out the window and lunge herself on to the zombies to save Coco. We hold her back and I start to shoot at the zombies and calling Coco over, but there's too many surrounding him. Being an animal lover, I decide to risk my life to try and save Coco and I go out through the backyard and order my sisters to open the gate for me on the count of three, as I stand in front of it with my gun ready to shoot. Little did I know, I had actually run out of bullets while I was shooting out the window inside. I was planning on sliding past all the hoards of zombies and quickly grabbing Coco and then shooting the zombies in our way before making a quick run for the gate. But that plan kind of backfired when Coco wasn't being very cooperative and too many zombies were surrounding us too quick. I slide past the first hoard, and run to grab Coco who manages to squirm away from me, I finally get ahold of him and turn around, still on the ground, pointing my gun at the zombies above us. Coco growls and barks before biting a zombie's hand who was creeping up behind us. He managed to run a hand through my hair before that though, leaving blood in it and a gross slimy feeling. I quickly kick my leg out and sweep the line of zombies in front of us, tripping them. I then get up and make a run for the gate, with Coco in one hand, and try to shoot at the zombies blocking it. But then realize I'm out of bullets. "Oh shit....."
"Jasmine, Rose!" I yell and they respond right away, "Throw me your gun, I'm out of bullets!"
Rose jumps up and throws her's and it lands by a zombie's foot near the gate. It distracts him momentarily as I slide towards it, picking it up and pointing it straight at his rotting face. I cringe with eyes closed halfway and then slide back and pull the trigger. Blood splatters, zombie bits are airborne, as I try to dodge the gory bloodbath. Still holding on to Coco, I continue to shoot at the zombies as Coco barks and bites the ones coming up behind us. Once the gateway is cleared, I yell "Girls, open it up, quick!" They unlatch the gate and it swings open as I run in, quickly closing it behind me. I put the lock back on it as zombies start to pound against it. "Quick, let's get inside!"
Once inside, I put Coco down and remember the blood in my hair, "I should wash this out," I grab the section of red-stained blonde hair and grimace at the sight and smell. "I don't think it's safe touching this with my bare hands though, I could get infected.." Helen gives me a pair of gloves and I wash it out with sink water, afterwards I disinfect the whole area with cleaning liquids and bleach. Suddenly I remember Coco had bit several zombies and could've possibly been infected. But I decide not to tell Helen, for the sake of another panic attack. "Just be careful..." I warn everyone.
*We end up having to board down the front door because of the amount and weight of zombies pushing up against it. We decide to take refuge up in the attic, the safest room. My sisters keep asking about our parents and I keep worrying about any last survivors. "I have to go out and look," I suddenly get up from my curled up position in a corner of the attic. "I don't feel comfortable just staying in here while there might still be people out there who need help. And all those poor cats and dogs, well at least the cats can climb trees and hide under things..." Helen refuses to let me go, my sisters beg me to stay. But I break free and go anyway, "I'm sorry, but I have to do this; I might be the only one able to save them...." I grab a backpack, pack it with ammo, and reload my gun. "Helen, do you happen to have a bike in your backyard?" She quietly responds, "In the tool shed..." I hug my sisters and thank Helen before making my way back down. "Wish me luck..."
"Please be okay, Daisy!" My sisters plead and then Jasmine says "Please look for mommy and daddy..." I sigh and nod my head before making my exit.
*(Add in at some point, when looking/shooting out window, about the car) We were shooting at the zombies and managed to kill quite a few. I then noticed Helen's old little volkswagon parked in the driveway next to the side yard, it had been broken into and torn up on the inside. There seemed to be something moving in the back seat, most likely a zombie. I would've suggested using her car to drive around looking for survivors, but the option seemed a little dangerous and the car was covered in zombie blood that we could risk getting infected by. And without being able to roll up the broken windows, we could get attacked by zombies while starting the car and trying to back up out of the driveway which seemed to be the most infested with hoards of them.
*I take out the bike and notice the backyard fence being pushed down, on the verge of collapsing, with the weight of all the flesh hungry zombies against it. I yell up towards the small attic window, "Keep an eye on the backyard, it may very well soon be infested with zombies!" I quickly hop on the bike and ride down towards the creek in the back that is interconnected with all the houses' and ride over the little wooden bridge that leads to the other side and up a hill. I then ride down the hill and end up on an adjacent street, biking through empty neighborhoods. All the houses seem to be vacant and I start to pedal faster past them in search of any survivors. I hear rustling from behind some hedges and stop to look back, "Hey, wait!" A man calls out and walks out into the open as I am filled with fear; something about him seems off. He's tall and his head is clean shaven.. And his face... His face looks sickly and pale... "Wait, it's okay, I'm not one of them!" I continue to pedal away, "My name is Billy and I'm looking for my girlfriend and our friends, we ended up getting separated when all this shit happened!" I stopped and looked back at him again, he seemed to be speaking and acting pretty normal. "Please, I need your help!" I sucked in my fear and hesitation and turned my bike around.
"Hi Billy, I'm Daisy and I'm scanning the area for survivors so I can probably help."
"Thank you so much, you don't even know how much I appreciate it!" He cried, "I'm so thankful we crossed paths! Look, I'm going to be straight up with you, I was bitten by a zombie earlier and I may or may not be infected... I'm sorry, I don't mean to frighten you, I just have to let you know...." Fear set in again; I knew something was wrong the second I saw him.
"I'm going to be very cautious of you now, Billy.." I eyed him suspiciously, his skin seemed to be getting a subtle blue tint, "Do you have a weapon on you?"
He coughed and his voice sounded hoarse, "Not on me." His eyes looked bloodshot and I could almost see a glint of madness in them.
"Uh, look, I don't think it's safe for me to stay close to you....." His body was shaking and twitching now and I started pedaling away from him.
"No, wait, please don't leave me alone!" He cried out and then broke into another coughing fit.
"I'm sorry.." I pedaled away faster. Sadly, it seemed to be too late for him and I wasn't going to risk my life again. My sisters were counting on me to make it back safe.
"Daisy, wait!" He called out after me, his voice now raspy. He tried keeping up behind me, but would stop every minute or so as he knelt down and coughed out blood.
"I'm so sorry, Billy!" I called out, "I have to go!"
I then heard the running sound of high heels on hard cement; a grungy looking woman with stringy blonde hair ran up behind Billy and nearly knocked him over as she threw herself on top of him.
"Lauren!" He shouted and hugged her, but she quickly pushed him away agressively. She seemed to eye him as if he was a delicious meal and she licked her lips. She then noticed me and her face looked more sickly than his. She looked like a predator that had spotted her dinner. With her eyes firmly set on me, she slowly started moving towards me. "Oh no, Lauren, please don't tell me you got infected too..." Billy tried to grab ahold of her face, but she kept pulling away.
"Fuck this," I sped down the street and a cat darted across, causing me to swerve and hit a tree. "Damn it.." I rubbed my head in pain and picked the bike up, "Go hide kitty!" I yelled behind it as it climbed over a fence into someone's backyard. Suddenly, the sound of running and moaning caught my attention. "What the hell......" I could see two figures in the distance, running towards me from down the street. "Oh no......" I quickly realized who they were and jumped back on my bike. The tires were starting to feel low on air, "Damn it, this must be an old bike.. I should've checked it before I left...." Billy and Lauren were approaching me at a pretty rapid pace. The most dangerous kind of zombies; when they're turning and still have human abilities like being able to run. Now Billy was just calling out my name in an eerie fashion.
"Daisyyy.... Daisyyyy!" I tried to pedal as fast as I could, but the nearly flat tires were holding me back. I abandoned the bike and made a run for it, I had no other choice.
*Coco starts acting quite strange; instead of growling at the zombies, he starts growling at us. I stand there and stare down at him a bit confused as he continues to growl at me. He then starts to bark and Helen notices. "Oh, my dear Coco, what's wrong?" She runs over to him and tries picking him up and he nips her, "Coco! That was a bad doggy!" She looked just as surprised and confused as I was, "Coco never bites me, I don't know why he's acting this way..."
I sigh as I remember what happened earlier "I think I might know..." I speak up. Helen looks over at me with concern in her eyes.
*After I've been bitten/infected and Coco has turned into a zombie dog, I struggle to locate the rumored antidote. "I have to find the antidote, maybe then we can bring mom and dad back to normal..." I walked around the attic as my sisters layed passed out together in a corner. Helen seemed to have completely lost it as she petted the cage with a zombified Coco inside and hummed a little tune. "The clock is ticking, I don't have much time," I reminded myself as I typed away on an old computer we had found in the attic. "This thing runs slow, but it's our only connection to the internet right now and medium of information that can possibly save our lives," I said out loud and Helen went silent for a minute.

~Zombie Dreams~ A reference to society and the masses
Zombie dreams
Lethal fiends
Plotting schemes
Eating brains
Bleeding veins
Dragging chains
Creatures creeping
From every crevace seeping
Children weeping
Lucidity
Take over me
Set me free
I grab a gun
Take charge and run
The light is shun
The moon illuminates
Crystal coating shapes
Clarity disintegrates
The seal is broken
Fear is awoken
Portals seem to open
Eerie whispers are inviting
This sweet deceitful reciting
Beckoning to join in hiding
Hands reach out from darkness
Creeping fingers on my dress
The chanting doesn't seem to digress
Shaky fingers on the trigger
Voices taunting sinner
Causing me to linger
Distractions pulse around me
Something shifts behind a tree
Stealthiness seems to be key
I step back and prepare to shoot
A hand reaches out for my leg and grabs my boot
Suddenly it takes a different route
A quick headshot
My fate is sought
Soon like them I will rot
The bite mark burns
My stomach churns
The effect concerns
Slowly I'm turning
Skin rotting and burning
For salvation I'm yearning
I was infected
My protection I neglected
My plans had to be corrected
Limping away
In search of a safe place to lay
Now the consequences I must pay
I'm weak to this force
I'm being dragged like a lifeless corpse
Let me drown in remorse
Following the masses I moan
I'm surrounded by them yet I feel alone
And now brainwashed I roam
Lethal fiends
Plotting schemes
Eating brains
Bleeding veins
Dragging chains

Story Snippet: The Chronicles of Darkness- The Summoning~
The portals to The Dark Side (AKA The Underworld) have been opened with the discovery of an ancient book of satanic rituals that should've been burned a long time ago. There is a very powerful ritual that summons evil when three words are chanted three times, satanic tribes would chant the words and dance around a fire; the only thing that illuminated them in the darkness as creatures would crawl out of the darkness of the night. The book was later on discovered by Violet's rich grandfather who owned a mansion overlooking the sacred satanic forest "Darkwood." Not a lot of people dared to venture into these woods that were always dark because of all the trees that shaded it, there were many rumors of the forest being a very evil place. He would go for walks in it during the day and on one of his walks he came upon the sacred book, stuck in the crevasse of a hollowed out tree stump. It was pretty well hidden, but he noticed something strange stuck inside the stump when he came up to it to take a rest, so he reached in to see if he could get it out. It was pretty tightly wedged inside, so he had to use a bit of force, and through a slight struggle he managed to pull it out. "Hmm must be an old book of some sort..." The book was falling apart and had a cover made of dark brown leather. He carefully opened it and saw strange pictures and text, "Hmm, interesting.... I'll check this out later," he took it home with him. Violet lived with her grandparents, ever since her parents had passed away in a car crash, they had took her in and raised her from a very young age.
"Grandfather, what's that?" she asked as he walked in carrying the book. She had been laying on the sofa reading, one of her favorite pass-times aside from voodoo and witchery.
"I found this on my walk, it appears to be a very old book. We can add it to our collection," he started walking towards the big hall that led to all the rooms, including the library.
"Grandfather, can I see it?" she was now filled with curiosity.
"Oh sure, just be careful dear. It's already falling apart." he handed it to his grand-daughter, whose eyes were lit-up as she gently ran her hand over the cover, feeling the indents in the leather that made strange symbols.
"Neat...." she took it up into her room, eager to read it. The next few hours were spent flipping through the book and reading different parts of it. Some of the words were starting to fade and hard to make out. "Kanta, lumen, sentar..." She whispered as she ran her finger over the text, "Chant these three words, three times..."
Unaware of the evil that would soon be released, she repeated the phrase two more times and shortly after heard a strange sound from under her bed. Shrugging it off, she continued reading. "Portals to 'The Dark Side' will be opened and evil will be set free......" Her eyes turned wide as she heard more rustling from under her bed and strange whispers. Suddenly a doll hand reached out from under her bed and she shrieked. Grabbing the book, she jumped off the bed and ran towards her bedroom door. She quickly skimmed through the text, "To close the portal, chant the same phrase again three times. But this time, in reverse." The doll poked it's head out and revealed glaring red eyes, "Sentar, lumen, kanta!" Violet quickly chanted, three times. And the doll fell on the ground, lifeless. A sound of slowly dissipating demon voices was heard and then pure silence. Violet stood there, still in shock, while clutching the book close to her. Slowly, a smirk formed on her face.
Daniel Dawnstone had been having these strange dreams every night, and they all consisted of the same events; hell on earth. Just when you thought it was already hell on earth, the portals to the underworld are opened and ultimate chaos ensues.
Danny woke up with a raging headache. "Where's the damn advil?" He fumbled through his kitchen cabinets.
He took two pills and then sat down on the couch, with his head in his hands. "This feels like the worst hangover ever and I didn't even drink last night..."

The Chronicles of Darkness ~ Danny The Darksider
Danny wrestled his friend Seth to the ground where they rough and tumbled around on the pavement. Seth bit down on Danny's arm and caused him to scream in pain, "You asshole!" Danny punched him and quickly retaliated. He didn't want to actually hurt Seth. They were both possessed by demons, however Danny was able to control his. Seth had been completely overtaken and now the sun was starting to come up. If Danny didn't get him home in time, he would burn to death on first contact with sunlight. He got up and started running down the street, Seth followed. "Yeah, that's right bring him this way.." Danny turned the corner. When they were nearing Seth's house, Danny stopped and noticed Seth's cat sitting on his porch. He called out to it and it replied with a hiss and glare of red eyes. "Not you too.." Danny looked back at Seth that was now making his way up the driveway, "Hey, keep your cat locked up at night will you?" The cat jumped on Danny and Seth joined. Dawn was beginning to set in. Danny concentrated his power with all his force, he could feel it boiling in his veins. Suddenly he shot up and grabbed Seth by the collar of his shirt and the cat by the scruff of his neck. He was twitching with sudden impulses of evil, trying to control them as much as he could. The demons inside him had fully been awaken and wanted to play too. He shook himself out of it and gritted his teeth, concentrating on getting inside. He could feel how powerful he was with every movement he made. He went in through the back door of the house and locked the cat in his little traveling cage in the basement and tied Seth to his bed with a belt on one post and a scarf on the other. "I told you not to stay out late." He could hear Seth's parents mumbling in their bedroom and he quickly made his way back outside through his bedroom window, "Later."
On his way back home, he noticed Roxie had escaped. She must've gone out looking for him after he had left last night, even after he warned her to not go out late. She must've been worried. She was possessed and had horns coming out of her head to match his. The sun was just starting to peak out from behind the mountains and Danny ran and tackled her into the nearest shady spot, behind a bush. She growled and fought him as he held her down, "Just stay still, will you?" He tried to devise a plan to get her back home safely. Then he remembered he was wearing a jacket and took it off to use as a shield for the sun. He ran back home trying to hold Roxie in one hand as she struggled to be set free and his jacket in the other, holding it up in front of both of them. "Good thing this is leather," he thought as he could feel the heat of the sun penetrating through it. When he finally got home he collapsed on the couch, exhausted. Roxie seemed to be slowly going back to normal, although still a little violent. She nibbled on Seth's ear as he lay down next to her with an arm over her, keeping her down. "Hey, take it easy," he pulled away.
"Oh come on, you like it," he could tell Roxie was no longer possessed because her voice was normal and playful again. "Did we fall asleep like this last night?"
"Yeah, we just passed out I guess," Danny was relieved she didn't remember anything that had happened.
"Well, I know you were worried about Seth cause he was going to that party and you were trying to take off," she sat up on the couch and rubbed her head where the horns had once been, "Well, I guess we just ended up passing out."
"That was probably up until the part when she got possessed..." Danny thought to himself.
She then got up and walked into the kitchen, "I have a huge headache, I need some advil..." Danny could hear her searching through the cabinets. "Could you grab me some too?" He rubbed his temples and groaned.
~The Realm of Darkness~
Danny was spit out into a spiral of what seemed like never-ending darkness. He could hear the words he had chanted echoing in his head, "Kanta, lumen, sentar...."

Danny The Darksider/Demonhunter
Daniel Dawnstone had been having premonitions from an early age. Being able to predict what's going to happen helped him avoid a lot of things, even his own death. Close to dying in a car crash when he was 17, Daniel's psychic abilities were finally legitimized when he got a vision of the accident before it happened and a sudden impulse to get out of the car. Shortly after, his friends suffered a gruesome death after a huge cargo truck rammed into them as they crossed an intersection and they died on impact. "That could've been me..." he thought when he was at their funeral. Their bodies had been left severely mutilated so they did not have open caskets. Daniel cringed at the thought of what his friend's suffered while he silently grieved.
Ever since then, Daniel had been somewhat of a consultant for things. He served as a decision maker for friends. He was their confidante. Especially his girlfriend, Roxy Madison, who tended to be naive at times.
Recently, Daniel had been having nightmares of this dark place where evil roamed free. He would wake up sweating and mumbling "No, no.." In his dreams, portals where being opened and evil seeped out from every shadowy nook. This nightmare repeated itself, every night, for a month as if desperately warning him of what was to come. He could recall three specific words from his dream, "Kanta, Lumen, Sentar...." Chant these three words, three times..... That's what the whispering voices would tell him. It was a battle between the forces of good and evil that was slowly taking place as people remained unaware of the doom that was upon them.
Evil manifested itself in the darkness that loomed over the land at sun down, where it became powerful, creating these monstrosities.
Chanting the three sacred words, three times, in any dark place could open a portal and release the evil that was being confined. Summoning creatures that sunlight could destroy in an instant. So they remained lurking in the shadows, where their power was more powerful than ours, until sun down....
Someone had broken the seal and evil had been set free, Daniel Dawnstone had been warned of this in his dreams and visions. And now it was possessing anything it could, most were weak to it's power and became slaves of evil, including Daniel's girlfriend Roxy Madison. But since Daniel could foresee these forces taking over him, he was able to prevent them from completely manipulating him and taking over his body. Instead, through a great struggle, Daniel found a way to manipulate these forces and take their power to his advantage. With diabolic resemblances, Daniel fought to keep the demons that possessed him under control and use his new found supernatural powers to defeat the evil and help save the world from darkness, as well as his beloved girlfriend. Every day at nightfall, these forces would possess Daniel and he would set off to fight and destroy the creatures that lurked the land. And every night his girlfriend would transform into an evil bitch, trying to kill him, and he had to keep her locked up. She would escape and he had to track her down, protecting her from the sunlight. If she was exposed to any sunlight while demons still possessed her, she would be burned to death. His friends were of no help because they too were being possessed by demons. leaving his bedroom light would only chase away the monsters, but it wouldn't kill them. Daniel would often leave his bedroom light on at night and keep Roxy, who he had bribed into being his roomate, tied down to the bed. "Ooh, kinky.." she would tell him and he would roll his eyes. She became far too powerful when she was possessed and awfully resistant.
"Have you ever been afraid of the dark, Seth?" He asked his friend.
Seth chuckled, "What am I five?"
"Well now you have a reason to be afraid, bullshit aside." Seth saw a flash of evil in his eyes.
"What is that supposed to mean?" A slight feeling of fear overcame him.
"Just do me a favor and keep your night light on..." The sun would be setting soon and there was no time to waste. "Oh and don't stay out too late."
"Sure, okay 'mom..' I'll do that.." He played along.
"I'm serious, Seth. If you want to stay alive, that is. Look, I have to go." He then took off, "I'll explain later!"
Seth stood watching him with a confused look as Daniel raced home.
"Daniel, do you know yin and yang is the balance of positive and negative energy, creating balance and harmony?" Roxie held up her necklace that had a yin and yang charm. And then it came to Daniel, they had to find yin and yang, because evil was taking over and destroying everything. Later on, they meet an ancient Chinese scholar who teaches them about yin and yang and shows them how much more evil there is than good. He showed them a picture of the Earth and colored more than half of it with a black marker. "We need to restore balance and harmony to the land. Daniel, you have undoubtedly exceptional powers that you need to use in order to fulfill this task, you may be our last hope." And with that he left them with a map of the famed Stone of Light that lays in an ancient tomb of some old ruins. The stone that can absorb light was left out in the sun for hundreds of years and it became so powerful they had to lock it away in a chest and bury it. The stone possessed so much power that it could start fires. The Stone of Light that destroys darkness must be recovered because it's power might be the only thing that can save us when nightfall comes and there is no sunlight to protect us. Synthetic light is not powerful enough, although it can temporarily ward off the evil that lurks out of the darkness. The Stone of Light that absorbs sunlight can burn these creatures simply by holding it up towards them and reflecting it's light unto them. "The darkness is suspicious, and evil manifests into it, concealing itself. So you must carry a source of light with you," the man warned them.
Daniel knew of this and Roxy looked over at him, "Is this why you tie me up every night before bed?"
"I must protect you.." Daniel took her by the hand.
~Preface~
Every night, Daniel Dawnstone possesses supernatural powers as demons try and take over his body. Through a great struggle, he finds a way to manipulate these forces of evil and use them to his advantage. He becomes extremely powerful and can destroy these evil creatures that curse the world at night.. Ghouls, demons, witches, the undead that are possessed and rise from their graves... What takes place at night is far more gruesome than your worst nightmare. And sometimes the only way to destroy something is to give it a taste of its own kind.
Monsterpedia-
Darklings: Evil manifests itself into the darkness creating creatures.
Phantomimes: Ghosts imitating evil. Playing tricks on you. Simon says... Wait, who the hell is Simon? Satan.~
Corpservants: The dead are possessed by evil spirits and rise from their graves. Not your typical "brain-eating" zombies; these aren't as picky, they will consume you whole. They're much more intelligent and evil. Their eyes turn red and their bodies are used as puppets. It's easier to possess the dead because they don't resist.
Daniel visits a psychic that helps him manipulate his abilities furthermore. She tells him that the saying "Kanta, Lumen, Sentar" was a chant used in ancient rituals to summon evil. The dead would rise and creatures would be set loose from the shadows. Someone must have gotten their hands on this knowledge, someone power hungry. Daniel had a vision of the strange girl he had crossed paths with when Seth went missing and he set out to look for him. She seemed very suspicious as if she was hiding something and then he remembered her wings she had told him were fake. "I think I know who it is..." He then took off. "That book must be burned and I know Violet has it."
"Oh, how cute.. You already look like one of my minions.." Violet laughed as Daniel lunged towards her. His horns and tail were quite visible and Violet could tell it was taking a great resistance to not let the demons that possessed him take complete control of him. "Just give up already, people have tormented me for so long, now it's my turn."
"I will never give up," he snarled.
"Oh, but if you're dead there's nothing you can do about it," Violet flew over him, "And then I shall possess your corpse and you will inevitably be my servant. So it's your choice, dead or alive?"
A psychic boy who acquires supernatural powers and a gothic chick who plans on being the Queen of Darkness. Interesting combo, great story unfolds....
Anywhere there is darkness can potentially be a portal to The Dark Side. "Kanta, Lumen, Sentar..."
When goodness bans evil from the land, it is sent to The Dark Side where it remains confined until someone breaks the seal and releases it with these three words that you must chant three times: "Kanta, Lumen, Sentar..." The portal is opened and evil roams free again. Lurking out of the shadows, all sorts of incarnations of evil are summoned.
"Creatures are coming out the darkness!" Nora yelled.
"Oh no...." Danny stood in front of his little sister, "Someone has broken the seal again.." The sun was beginning to slowly disappear from behind the mountains. Evil spirits roamed free and possessed anything they could, Nora was their first victim. Her eyes turned red and her teeth transformed into fangs.
"Is that so?" She turned to face her brother.
~The Kingdom of Darkness~
Daniel must venture to the Kingdom of Darkness and find a way to seal the portal.
Where does all that evil go and where is it contained? Do we create it or does it inspire us to create?
"I'm really dangerous right now," he could feel the evil pulsing through his veins waiting to erupt.
Roxy ran over to him, "Danny, I saw everything!" She hugged him.
He shook with anxiousness and pushed her away, "Stay away from me..."
She looked confused, "Wh-what are you saying..." She then noticed the horns protruding from his head and the tail erecting from his back.
"Stay away from me, it's for your own good." He tried to hide his face.
Daniel was rolling around in his bed, he could feel a pulsing pain in his temples as if something was pushing it's way out. "Is my dream coming true?" He remembered demons possessing him as horns grew out of his head and sure enough he could feel two small bumps there. Then he felt diabolical forces taking over him and he tried sitting up, but was quickly thrown back down on the bed and started rolling around as if he was wrestling with himself. He grabbed on to his head, yelling through gritted teeth as he fought the demons that were trying to control him. Suddenly the evil forces within him ceased, and he got up and stood in front of the mirror, he touched his face that now had a scaly texture. His eyes were bloodshot and he touched his canine teeth that had become long and pointed. The demons inside of him would still attempt to take over, but Daniel had found a way to keep them tamed and manipulate their evil power...
He set out into the night and could see creatures coming out from the shadows. The only areas that seemed uninhibited were under streetlights and Daniel quickly ran under one. Then he spotted Roxy and Seth running towards him, "Danny!" They called out his name and something about their voices didn't seem right. As they got closer to him their faces became illuminated and he saw that the demons had taken over them too. They stopped right before reaching him and seemed to be afraid of the light source that was encompassing him. Then Daniel realized that the demons were afraid of light and this is why they hid in the darkness. Although, synthetic light was not powerful enough to destroy them, only sunlight. Daniel ran from streetlight to streetlight as his possessed friends followed him, trying to attack him every chance they got. Then he heard Violet's voice above him, she had red demon wings coming out of her back.
"Oh, Daniel. It seems like you're the only one that the evil can't possess.. Interesting." She flew down next to him, "Won't you just call it game over already? It's you against me and my army of darkness, you really don't stand a chance."
"I always knew there was something weird about you, Violet!" Daniel snarled at her, his demon tail flicking back and forth.
"Down, boy!" She smiled, "Look, I'm tired of being teased and tormented, now it's my turn."
"Give me the book, I know you have it. I've seen it in my psychic visions!"
"Oh, you're psychic are you?" She flew back up, "Why didn't I know this until now?"
"Because all you are is some chick who got her hands on something she wasn't supposed to! Something that should have been burned a long time ago!"
"Hmm oh yes, very nice work detective.. Well it seems like the puzzle pieces are coming together for me as well. It appears that since you are able to predict the future you can prevent these forces from controlling you and manipulate their powers to your own advantage..." She flew back up, "I shall summon greater forces to possess you..."
Roxy and Seth smiled at him, exposing their fangs and Violet flew off laughing.
Hundreds of years ago, Satanic tribes that craved power had a book of evil chants that would summon evil. They would chant the three scared words three times during rituals and evil was bestowed upon them. Portals were opened and released these forces of evil from The Dark Side. The book was buried along with the bodies of the people that had written it and later unearthed by archaeologists exploring the area. The book was said to be very sought after by many people and was sealed away in a display case at a museum. Recently a break in had occurred and the book had been stolen; the robbers were caught, but the book was never recovered.
Violet's grandfather lived in a mansion up in the hills, overlooking a forest named "Darkwood" because of all the trees that shaded it making it a dark place even in the day. Satanic rituals were rumored to take place there and Violet's grandfather would go for walks during the day and explore the forest. One day, he came upon a strange book hidden in the crevasse of an old hollowed out tree stump; it was old and falling apart and he picked it up carefully. He flipped through it and thought it looked interesting so he took it home and placed it in his library. Violet would often visit and spend hours in his library room with piles of books next to her, she loved to read and was seldom found without a book in her hand. When she discovered the strange book she was so enthralled with it that she asked to borrow it and her grandfather decided to just let her keep it. Violet loved dark books that talked about spell-making and rituals, she was into all of that voodoo and witchery stuff. At school, she was an outcast and people were often afraid of her. She was bullied and teased, but Daniel Dawnstone would always defend her. She had developed a crush on him, but quickly found out that the feelings were not mutual so she became furious and tried to cast spells on him, all of which failed. Daniel was aware of all her superstitions and he never took anything she gave to him. She never understood why and it made her even more angry that he would always refuse her 'gifts.' But now Violet had gotten her hands on something much more powerful, something that shouldn't be played around with. Energy is very real, demons are very powerful and some even live inside of us; they just need to be summoned. Evil exists and is usually banned by goodness from the land. But where does it go? Everything has to go somewhere. In all of those dark nooks, are secret portals to The Dark Side where it is confined and concealed. It's waiting to be released, to be set free. To take over.~
Daniel made a quick run for his house around the corner after he neared the last streetlight that could aid him. He quickly ran in and locked the door, his sister's voice was heard from down the hall. "Danny?" She called out. When he stood in her doorway, she shrieked and hid under her blankets. "Oh," he remembered his horns and the other demon-like features that were part of his body now, "It's okay, Nora. Just think of it as a Halloween costume, okay?"
She slowly peeked out from behind her blanket, "But it's not Halloween till' next month."
"Well, I'm getting an early start. Now, just go back to bed. We'll talk more in the morning." He noticed her night light and remembered that a light source was necessary for warding off the creatures that came out of the darkness. "Oh and hey, don't forget to put that on every night."
"I always leave my night light on," she grabbed on to her teddy bear and held him close.
"Good," he walked out of her room and closed the door halfway, "Good night Nora, sweet dreams."
"Good night, brudder," Nora had called him 'brudder' ever since she was 3 years old and was barely learning to talk. Since then on, it had just stuck.
Back in his room, Daniel had forgotten to close the blinds. He could see creatures still lurking in the shadows. Suddenly, Roxy and Seth ran up to his window and peered in. "Come out and play, Danny!" his girlfriend called out to him. He was being taunted by her voice and although it didn't quite sound like her, he was slowly being lured in by it. "No," he shook himself out of it. He quickly closed his blinds as they started to pound on his window. Violet's laughter echoed in his head, "That evil bitch," he thought, "I have to find that book she has and burn it and I have no other choice but to seal her away in The Dark Side as well, along with what she released.. She wants to be The Princess of Darkness, well now she can have that dream come true."
Daniel grabbed his head as he tried to control the madness that was slowly taking over him, the demons were starting to fight back, they wanted desperately to take control of him. "No!" he yelled as he clenched his jaw and punched his fist into his bedroom wall, making a hole. "Damn it!" He was thrust back on to his bed and continued to struggle controlling whatever was trying to control him.
He chased after Violet as she flew into the shadows and disappeared. "Kanta, lumen, sentar!" He yelled three times and a portal was opened. He ran towards it and it sucked him in, dropping him into an abyss of darkness where he could hear eerie demon whispers. The only source of light was a fire pit down below that barely illuminated enough for him to see the path he was walking on, as corpse hands tried to grab at him from the darkness. The path led up to a huge mansion.
TNOTLDoll
The doll lay in the dirt, it's dress was all dirty. The boys kicked it around like a soccer ball, next to the chair where Hannah had left her sitting. "Stop it!" Hannah yelled, "Give her back!" Tears streamed down her face. She ran over and tried to interfere, but they pushed her back.
"This game isn't for girls." One of her brothers lectured her, he kicked the doll up in the air and when it landed on the ground it's head popped off. Hannah screamed as their mother walked out into the backyard.
"What in the world are you kids doing?" She stood there with her hands on her hips and then noticed the doll, "Oh no, what did you do to your sister's doll?"
"We were just playing with it," They stood there with their hands behind their back as if appearing to be innocent.
"Michael, Daniel, inside! Now!"
"Yes, mom." They both ran inside as Hannah sat on the ground sobbing, with her hands covering her face.
"I'm sorry, honey." Her mom picked up the dismembered doll, "I'll buy you a new one." She carried it over to the waste bin and dropped it in.
"No!" Hannah yelled and ran after her.
"Honey, the doll is broken now. Mommy will buy you a new one, okay?" She then took Hannah by the hand and led her inside. "Oh, your brothers are in big trouble." And they certainly were in more trouble than they were expecting...

Premise
~She looked so radiant, illuminated by the moonlight.~ Killian paused to admire her beauty and then realized he was becoming distracted. He came here to kill, not to fall in love. Killian Cain was an assassin secretly hired by the government to find and kill a certain number of people. People were breeding more than they were dying and overpopulation was becoming such an out of control issue. The government planned to combat it by hiring a group of assassins to execute a percentage of people. A death list was assigned to a group of assassins sent out to do their dirty work. Elora Lenova was one of the targeted victims, unaware of the doom that was upon her.
Foul Play
Concealed by shadows, he approached the young woman in a stealthy manner almost gracefully under the glistening moon that casted a subtle gleam on the silver blade in his hand. Killian Cain was a skilled assassin that had been secretly hired by the government to kill a certain number of people. Overpopulation had become such a huge issue that the government was now taking action and sending out a group of assassins to do their dirty work. Killian would perform execution by sneaking up behind the girl and slitting her neck. It was a quick and easy method, one that he had used on several of his past victims. But he was abruptly distracted as he paused to admire her radiant beauty illuminated by the moonlight, making her appear as something celestial. Elora Lenova was out for a walk; nighttime was her favorite when the world seemed to be at stand-still and she could truly appreciate it. Most people were indoors at these hours and it was so peaceful. She could enjoy the sounds of nature without interruptions; the wind blowing gently past her and the cricket orchestra that performed every night. She tucked a long strand of auburn hair behind her ear and looked up at the stars that shimmered in the night sky like silver glitter on black paper. A shooting star went by and she closed her eyes and smiled. Killian shook himself from the trance. "I'm here to kill, not fall in love," he thought to himself as he continued to creep towards her. Just then, he stumbled over a big rock that was laying next to a tree. He had been so busy admiring Elora, he hadn't noticed it in his way. Elora turned to face in his direction as he quickly darted behind the tree while cringing from the pain. "Damn it," he panicked momentarily, "That's what I get for allowing myself to be distracted..." He quickly regained his composure and stood as still as the earth seemed to be, but Elora was already suspicious. "Hmm, must've been a cat..." she thought still scanning her surroundings, "I should head back home, it's getting pretty late." She started making her way across the big open field that led back to the sidewalk. The wind seemed to be pushing her as if trying to get her to move faster. "It's so windy tonight," she zipped up her sweater and picked up her pace. Killian stood behind the tree and watched her; he would dart to the corner after she turned it. The wind blew his long dark brown bangs away from his face revealing his piercing grey eyes that almost matched the blade he was carrying. He was clothed in all black and blended in with the darkness quite well.

Roxy Granger (Crimson Gory)- Hair stained by the blood of her victims, red like the crimson glory rose. Quick and nimble like the wind. Appearing as only a red streak that momentarily crosses your vision and then shortly after you are bowing down to your death as a dagger is thrust into your back.
